Rising food costs have led many Augusta locals to start container gardens at Good Earth to grow fresh produce and save money – Garden Center Manager Lacey Enevoldsen said customers now begin with seeds and starter plants while favoring local produce for its better quality.

This trend keeps dollars in the community and offers a cost-saving alternative to big box stores.

The Richmond County Coroner’s Office and Sheriff’s Office responded on Monday morning after a body was found at about 6:25 a.m. on the 600 block of Crawford Avenue and are investigating the suspicious death.
