- ➤ The James Brown Family Foundation is hosting a toy giveaway at May Park for children ages 1 to 11, with registration on Saturday, Dec. 6 (9 to 11 a.m.) and Dec. 13 (9 to 11 a.m.) and toys distributed on Dec. 20 at 8 a.m. WRDW
- ➤ United Way of Augusta distributed toy bags to over 1,700 children Thursday at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Augusta — families waited in pre-registered lines and learned about SNAP and Golden Harvest Food Bank services. WRDW
- ➤ Audrey Murrell celebrated 25 years at the training shop on Dec. 4 with a watch party at the Jenkins Street location featuring her Kelly Clarkson Show interview. - ➤ Two Augusta lottery players won big prizes using the Georgia Lottery mobile app, with one winning $50,000 on Nov. 27 playing Twice As Spice and another winning $16,998 on Dec. 2 playing Elephant King Jackpots. Other winners statewide also collected millions from recent lottery games. WRDW

- ➤ It’s nearly a week past the Nov. 28 deadline for military officials to update Sen. Ossoff on potential cuts at Fort Gordon’s hospital, leaving staff and patients uncertain. Officials have not announced changes (inpatient, emergency, and operating room services may be affected). WRDW
- ➤ House Resolution 1, passed this summer, reshaped federal farm policies affecting Georgia agriculture by raising reference prices for peanuts and cotton, expanding crop insurance, and creating a new poultry insurance option.
