- ➤ Reginald Jackson—an AME bishop who led nearly 500 congregations and served on Morris Brown College's board—died Tuesday at 71. He was known for his strong stand in civil rights and for urging businesses to support diversity. WRDW
- ➤ Local groups and Cafe 209 hosted their annual Feast in the Streets giveaway in Augusta, serving hot meals, winter gear and essential items to community members. The event reached nearly 500 residents — and organizers hope it will help people find new job opportunities and better support. WRDW

- ➤ The Holiday Gingerbread Village exhibit is on display at the Augusta Museum of History from November 20 through November 30 — the show features historic-themed gingerbread creations for visitors. The Augusta Press

- ➤ Travelers in the CSRA experienced lower gas prices this Thanksgiving as the U.S. average dropped to $3.03 a gallon while Augusta fuel cost $2.78, down from last year. AAA and airport officials expected record travel—over 4 million Georgians flew and advised arriving early for flights. WRDW

- ➤ Georgia Power filed new testimony on Wednesday defending its plan to add 10,000 megawatts for data centers statewide and said a rate freeze through 2028 will keep residential bills unchanged. The utility argued that new contracts and extra revenue will offset the added costs— and the Public Service Commission will vote on the proposal on Dec. 19. WRDW
- ➤ A New Jersey asset management firm submitted a request to build a tiny home community in Hephzibah—one of the last cases for review by the Augusta Planning Commission this year. The Augusta Press
- ➤ The VA Augusta Health Care System permanently housed 166 homeless veterans in Fiscal Year 2025—exceeding its goal by 184.45% and ranking third among VA facilities. The effort is part of a national initiative to give unsheltered veterans immediate access to housing, health care, and VA benefits. WRDW

- ➤ A local teen celebrated her 18th birthday on Thursday by returning to the NICU at Piedmont Augusta Hospital—where she was born at 29 weeks and treated for 11 weeks. Her mother said the visit brought strong memories of early challenges and inspired pride as her daughter now excels as a high school percussionist with plans to study business and music in college. - ➤ Fuzzy Zoeller, a two-time major golf champion known for his colorful comments, died at 74 when his daughter called his longtime colleague Thursday with the news. He won the Masters on his first attempt in 1979 and was noted for his remark during the 1997 Masters—no cause of death was given. WRDW
