- ➤ Columbia County leaders will hold a hearing on the proposed data center project today at 6 p.m. at the Evans Government Center Auditorium following a new zoning district created after months of public debate & an approved rezoning application for nearly 2,000 acres that is expected to bring $118 million in revenue but must follow the full zoning process. - ➤ The FAA allowed airlines to resume normal capacity at 6 a.m. on Monday at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport after flight cuts during a federal shutdown reduced schedules by 6%. The change — which ended the disruption — helped many Augusta passengers plan smoother travel. WRDW

- ➤ Health care leaders cut the ribbon Monday on a new Doctors Hospital emergency room in Evans that covers 10,860 square feet and has 11 private rooms and one trauma bay; the facility offers CT, X-ray, laboratory and pharmacy services and will see its first patient on December 2 to improve local emergency care.
