- ➤ Augusta mayor Garnett Johnson hosted Canal Cleanup Day at Lake Olmstead Trailhead on Nov 15—volunteers gathered to clean the canal now that the effort has resumed after beginning in 2006. - ➤ At the Augusta Training Shop, staff and volunteers made handmade gifts in the shape of a heart after Hurricane Helene to thank linemen who restored power.
