- ➤ On Saturday, Nov. 8, the 2025 CSRA Walk for Water will take place at SRP Park to raise awareness and funds for clean water worldwide. Participants will walk a three-mile route carrying buckets—gates open at 8 a.m.—and the walk begins at 9:30 a.m. with free registration online. Augusta Good News
- ➤ The Central Savannah River Land Trust will host the Sugarberry Bash on Thursday, Nov. 6 at Sugarberry Hill preserve on 712 Blanchard Road in Evans. Gates will open at 4 p.m. with tickets priced at $100—fundraising to protect the 344-acre land in honor of the Dorn family legacy. Augusta Good News

- ➤ Saint Paul’s Church will mark its 275th anniversary with the debut of a special evensong at 5:30 p.m. on Nov 9th, and British composer Malcolm Archer, funded by a $25,000 grant, will conduct the service with the Saint Paul’s Choir while the public is invited to join a reception in the River Room afterward. - ➤ Augusta Tech alumni expanded student opportunities after the October 24 Den of Distinction Celebration by announcing new scholarships including the Dr. Tamara Y. Johnson Simmons Educational Access Scholarship and the Cooper Claus Scholarship Fund for firefighters’ families. The new awards — along with the Linda LaMarr Memorial and Dr. Lushunda Hurst scholarships — will help students cover tuition and fees and support careers in accounting and other fields. - ➤ Eight local schools took part in the eighth annual battle of the bands at Butler High School on Sunday, where teams from ARC, Butler, Cross Creek, Glenn Hills, Heaphzibah, Josey, Westside and Laney competed and students received over one million dollars in scholarships — special performances by other schools and colleges added to the event.
