- ➤ Georgia drivers got relief as gas prices fell to $2.81 per gallon on Monday, which is 6 cents lower than last week and nearly $2 less than last year when filling a 15-gallon tank cost about $42.15. - ➤ On October 21, the Georgia Department of Education named John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School and C.T. Walker Traditional Magnet School as 2025 Distinguished Schools, placing them among the top 5% of Title I schools statewide. - ➤ Augusta University was ranked among the nation’s best colleges by U.S. News and World Report, climbing into the top 8% for best value schools after rising 23 spots this year and 59 spots since 2024.
