  • Hyundai Motor Group announced Tuesday it would invest $5 billion through 2028 to add to the $21 billion already committed to U.S. operations—this funding will build a new steel mill in Louisiana and a robotics facility with a 30,000-unit capacity while aiming to create around 25,000 jobs nationwide. The investment builds on the company’s major project in Georgia, currently the largest economic development project in state history.  Augusta CEO

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Augusta leaders approved a consent order with the Georgia EPD—requiring the city to pay over $170,000 in fines for wastewater system failures. City officials will work to address these issues to prevent further penalties.  The Augusta Press
