- ➤ A study by Blakeley Law Firm shows that Georgia ranks first in the nation for rideshare support searches with 452 per 100,000 residents — more than twice the average, which suggests many riders are not getting help with billing, safety, or lost items. - ➤ Margaret "Meg" Heap was sworn in Monday at the federal courthouse in Augusta as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Georgia after a long career in law that began in 1986. Appointed by Attorney General Pam Bondi, Heap served as district attorney and on the State Board of Pardons and Paroles—she will work with law enforcement to improve safety across 43 counties. - ➤ At Fort Gordon, paratroopers jumped from a plane on Tuesday during the TechNet Airborne Operation — the event brought together Army, Joint, and Special Operations units and allowed families to watch the live demonstration.
