A construction worker died in a suspected equipment-related accident while repaving the parking lot outside Lowe’s on Knox Avenue in North Augusta on Sunday—authorities are investigating the incident.

Tranard E. Sheppard, an 18-year-old Warrenville resident, was found shot dead on the 400 block of Sarah Street early Sunday at about 1:48 a.m.—deputies discovered his body after responding to a 911 call near the intersection of Sarah and Farrell Street and authorities declared him dead at about 2:56 a.m. as the investigation continues with no suspects identified.

Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting death of 18-year-old Tranard Sheppard on Sarah Street in Warrenville — officers received a call just before 2 a.m. Sunday and he died at the scene with no suspect identified.
