- ➤ OXERRA broke ground on a 120,000-square-foot distribution center at 1895 Doug Barnard Pkwy near Augusta Regional Airport on June 16—designed to support its growing customer base for iron-oxide pigments used in plastics, coatings and cosmetics. - ➤ Richmond County deputies said missing Lauren Brown (35) was last seen around 1 a.m. on June 19th (local time) and are investigating her disappearance. WRDW
- ➤ The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in finding Timothy Andrew Heath, 28, wanted for aggravated assault that occurred on June 19 near Bobby Jones Expressway—he was last seen driving an older model black Ford F-150 with a Georgia tag CNI4705 not registered to the pictured vehicle and showing heavy front end damage. - ➤ Starting today, the intersection of Southern Pines Drive and Fury Ferry Road is closed temporarily for weekend work—motorists must use alternate routes. WRDW
- ➤ On Wednesday the Department of Defense terminated HomeSafe Alliance LLC after it repeatedly failed to deliver quality moving services for military personnel, including those at Fort Gordon. The Pentagon said household goods will now be moved using the tender of service system to better meet the needs of service members. WRDW
- ➤ The Georgia DOT cleared nearly 4.8 million cubic yards of debris from 35 sites in April using 2,134 employees after Hurricane Helene hit Augusta and surrounding areas.
