- ➤ Authorities arrested Levaun Green Jr. of Thomson on Thursday for his alleged role in the fatal shooting at The Landings apartments on Wrightsboro Road (investigators tracked his car to Thomson after a 9 a.m. shooting on June 2 that left Jerome Burley dead). The Augusta Chronicle
- ➤ A Richmond County deputy attempted a traffic stop Friday at 7:04 p.m. near GA Highway 25 North and Hephzibah-McBean Road when a white Chevrolet Malibu fled and sparked a high-speed chase that crossed into Burke County and ended about half a mile past Greiner Circle — an officer used a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle, arresting Jordan Perkins and recovering a firearm.
