- ➤ An Augusta man was arrested on Sunday for a hit-and-run that killed 23-year-old Xavion Wimberly (of Hephzibah) when he was struck while crossing Deans Bridge Road near Suz Lounge around 3 a.m. and later pronounced dead at 4:12 a.m., and the driver is charged with vehicular homicide, hit-and-run, and DUI.
