- ➤ State regulators are voting today on a Georgia Power plan that the company says will cut bills by about $4 a month. However, Georgians for Affordable Energy warns the plan may raise rates by shifting storm recovery and gas pipeline costs to households. WRDW

- ➤ Starting July 1, Georgia pharmacists may prescribe HIV prevention medications per a new state law signed by Gov. Kemp — health officials say the measure will expand access in rural areas as a pilot program trains pharmacy teams in Georgia and Louisiana. WRDW
- ➤ The CDC warns tick bites are common as Augusta residents enjoy the outdoors, with summer tick activity expected to peak between May and June; residents should check themselves and pets (especially around the ears), use insect repellent, and remove ticks promptly to prevent illness.
