- ➤ Christopher Winstead—a 42-year-old Augusta man—was arrested on May 15 and is held without bond after he was charged with rape, aggravated sodomy, and kidnapping his longtime girlfriend who lost consciousness from a seizure outside his Campus Side Apartments on May 14. The Augusta Press
- ➤ 30-year-old Mark Johnson was arrested by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday after he shot a victim at a home on the 3600 block of Madrid Drive N — the victim was taken to Doctors Hospital and Johnson now faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during a crime.
