  • World Population Review released 2025 property tax data for Georgia counties—Wheeler, Atkinson, Appling, Taylor and Wilcox had the lowest taxes—while Fulton, Forsyth, Gwinnett, Fayette and Oconee had the highest rates; Augusta ranked 90th with a median tax of $1,440.  The Augusta Chronicle
