  • On Monday, 8-year-old Camden Poole died on his birthday when a pickup truck turning left hit a car on Peach Orchard Road, and the driver, Lee E. Jones (49) from Waynesboro, was arrested for failing to yield.  WRDW

  • Augusta University’s Military and Veteran Services earned a Military Friendly Schools Silver recognition for 2025-26 from public data and survey responses. Director Stefane Raulerson said the office—known for quick responses and personalized guidance—will host public events next year to further support military students.  Augusta CEO
  • Today, the fifth installment of a series that spanned six months of gun safety investigation shows that many college students face depression and anxiety and that nearly half remain unaware of free and confidential counseling services available through SCAPS – the offices are located at Summerville near Washington Hall 108 and at the Health Sciences Campus on the second floor of the Student Center.
