- ➤ SRP Federal Credit Union donated over $66,000 at Tuesday Board of Education meetings using its Affinity Debit Card Program to support high schools in both Columbia and Richmond counties. - ➤ A team of doctors at Augusta University’s Medical College of Georgia began Phase II tests of a new drug called EC5026 for spinal cord injury patients using a $3.2 million Department of Defense grant. They will recruit patients at Wellstar MCG Health over the next two months to see if the medication can safely ease chronic pain without the risk of addiction—offering new hope for those with limited treatment options.
