- ➤ A 23-year-old man on a moped named Ammon Taylor died Tuesday after hitting another vehicle on the 1500 block of Brown Road off Mike Padgett Highway in south Augusta—he was pronounced dead at 2:13 p.m. at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center. The Augusta Chronicle

- ➤ On April 2, 72 undergraduate students from six AU colleges took part in the 26th annual research and fine arts conference at the Jaguar Student Activities Center. The event was led by the Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship—sponsored by the AU Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi—and students shared posters and oral talks while working with 41 faculty mentors.
