- ➤ Governor Brian Kemp signed HB 111 and HB 112 on Tuesday at a Cobb County Chamber event to deliver a state income tax cut that returns more than $1 billion to taxpayers—providing one-time refunds of $500 for joint filers, $375 for heads of households, and $250 for single filers. The tax rate dropped from 5.39% to 5.19% retroactive to January 1 and will decrease by 0.10% each year for the next two years. WRDW
