- ➤ A Thomson man accused of gunning down another man on the 1200 block of Broad Street in downtown Augusta in 2020 faces trial before a jury this week. The Augusta Press

- ➤ The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will headline the Augusta Air Show next month at Augusta Regional Airport on Aug. 26 and Aug. 27 with a flight demonstration scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Additional aerial acts including the SOCOM Para-Commandos, the A-10C Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team and Georgia State Patrol will perform, with more performers announced on April 7 and 10 and general admission costing $38.19 for adults and $28.20 for children.
