- ➤ The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will headline the Augusta Air Show on August 26th and August 27th at Augusta Regional Airport (gates open at 9 a.m. and they will perform at 2:30 p.m.) to offer an exciting aerial display for local fans. - ➤ A Hephzibah man was found guilty of a fatal shooting in 2020 and was sentenced to life without parole. FOX54

- ➤ Local officials say the Powderhouse Connector Project will ease traffic by creating improved travel routes in the area. The project is scheduled to begin soon and is expected to reduce delays for residents. WRDW
- ➤ The Georgia Senate approved changes to a sweeping school safety bill that would require schools to keep and share student behavior records and run a 24-hour anonymous tip line while dropping plans for a student threat database and mandatory threat assessment teams. The trimmed bill (from 65 to 57 pages) now goes to the Senate Rules Committee for a vote before the legislative session ends next week. The Augusta Chronicle
