- ➤ The sixth annual Ryan Clark 5K run took place Saturday morning at Lakeside High School to honor Ryan Clark’s memory. His mother organized the event to fund the Ryan Clark Scholarship for local students, with the scholarship ceremony set for May 7. WRDW
- ➤ Bel-Ridge Baptist Church hosted the Believe in Belvedere Community Fair on Saturday to offer mobile mental health resources for community members who lack transportation — the fair featured games, music, demonstrations and a cake walk that provided a safe space for seniors and others in need. - ➤ Savannah Riverkeeper will celebrate its 25th anniversary at its annual oyster roast fundraiser, Roast on the River, on Saturday, Mar. 21. The Augusta Press

- ➤ Lucy Craft Laney High School held its 10th annual Hall of Fame awards ceremony Saturday evening at First Baptist Church, honoring alumni in business, education, food services & health care. - ➤ State School Superintendent Richard Woods visited Gracewood Elementary on Friday to present eight Richmond County schools with awards for improvements in literacy and math. The ceremony celebrated their academic growth across local classrooms. The Augusta Press

- ➤ Firefighters battled a 200-acre wildfire on Saturday in McCormick County using aircraft and roads to contain the blaze near Woodlawn Road (no evacuations were ordered) as smoke affected several nearby areas. WRDW
