- ➤ The Patch, Augusta's municipal golf course, will reopen April 15 after nearly a year of renovation. - ➤ Augusta Regional Airport is expanding direct flight options for Masters Week, April 6–13 — Delta and American Airlines are adding routes from several major cities to ease travel for visitors and offer locals competitive fares. Augusta CEO
- ➤ Cardinal Health announced it will close its Augusta plant within months. The move is part of a cost-saving plan and will impact local jobs — officials said details are still pending. Augusta CEO
- ➤ Royal Tea on Reynolds on Reynolds Street is now open for walk-in guests three days a week (Wed-Fri, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) after shifting from private event rentals to offering tea-themed experiences with selections from various states. WRDW

- ➤ Augusta artist A.C. Daniel led a Gullah Geechee art workshop on Feb. 25 at Reese Library to show Augusta University students how to create rice mosaics that incorporate traditional elements such as blue glass bottles hung in trees. - ➤ Butler High School culinary arts teacher Kanesha Roberts learned Friday from Georgia School Superintendent Richard Woods that she is a Top 10 finalist for the 2027 Georgia Teacher of the Year award. - ➤ I-20 near Old Vaucluse Road will see overnight lane closures next week for a bridge replacement project; westbound lanes will close at 6 p.m. on Mar. 16 and Mar. 17 while eastbound lanes will close at 6 p.m. on Mar. 18 and 7 p.m. on Mar. 19 (work may extend into the following mornings). WRDW
