  • Dave’s Hot Chicken will open on March 27 in Augusta — offering locals a taste of its signature spicy fare and a new spot to gather.  Augusta CEO

CULTURE NEWS

  • Augusta’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade will follow a new route due to downtown construction — it will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the James Brown Arena site parking lot, with participants gathering by 1:30 p.m.  The Augusta Chronicle

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Augusta Regional Airport will add 13 new direct flight routes from April 6 to 13 to help serve Masters visitors. The new routes come from cities including Austin, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis and St Paul, Nashville, New Jersey, New York, Phoenix, Philadelphia and Raleigh and Durham.  The Augusta Chronicle

  • Doctors Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, earned the 2026 Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades today for safe, patient-centered care & ranked in the top 10% nationwide, while also making the top 5% for surgical care.  Augusta CEO

  • Cross Creek won the AAA state championship by beating Harlem 56-51 on Wednesday, Mar. 11 at Macon Coliseum; senior guard Dontrell Jackson led with 25 points and 7 rebounds as his team rallied from behind.  Augusta Good News
  • Augusta University’s men’s golf team finished third at the Surf Club Invitational in North Myrtle Beach, Sc after fog delayed play; freshman Josh Daniels shot a 67 and senior Bo Blanchard helped post 15 under par + the team prepares to compete in Statesboro from March 13-15.  The Bell Ringer
  • The Atlanta Braves launched Braves.TV, a new streaming service offering live and on-demand game coverage without local blackouts for over 140 games in 2026. Monthly subscriptions cost $19.99 + season subscriptions cost $99.99 and will be available ahead of Opening Day on March 27.  WRDW
