- ➤ The Fine Arts Center will honor Dr. Roy Fluhrer, Stacy Isenbarger (posthumously), and Phillip Boykin at Elevate on April 18; the awards will recognize their lasting impact on arts education and performance. Augusta CEO

- ➤ Engineers from SRS partnered with local middle schools during Discover Engineering week from Feb. 2–6 to engage over 2,600 students in 128 interactive sessions, showcasing hands-on STEM activities that sparked interest in future careers in CSRA. Augusta CEO
- ➤ Kroger donated $35K to help fight food insecurity at HBCUs, including Paine College. The funds will support on-campus programs designed to give students better access to nutritious food. Augusta CEO
- ➤ SC State 1890 Coastal Extension hosted a free STEM & Agriculture Saturday Academy for students ages 5 to 18 last Saturday at the Coastal Research and Education Center in Charleston (35 Lee Street) featuring group sessions on agriculture, sewing, seed planting and a Boeing Dream Learners talk on the 737. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Georgia Department of Community Health announced it has received final CMS approval for $218.8M in GREAT Health Program funds to boost rural healthcare. Funds will be distributed over the next few months and 57 hospitals have signed Letters of Intent, with a March 15 deadline for LOI submission. Augusta CEO
- ➤ Health inspectors found several downtown restaurants in Augusta received low scores during inspections from Feb. 20 to 27; for example, Riverfront Pub and Sports earned a 71 (a failing score) amid issues such as poor hygiene and low temperature control.
