- ➤ The Richmond County Board of Education is reviewing a plan to turn T.W. Josey High School into a college and career academy amid concerns about its legacy; meetings on Feb. 9 and Feb. 12 will lead to a Feb. 23 vote — a process to preserve the school's heritage. WRDW
- ➤ Georgia lawmakers introduced a new literacy bill that requires students to attend kindergarten before first grade and allows schools to retain children who do not meet reading benchmarks + the plan adds literacy coaches in every elementary school statewide, aiming to boost reading skills for one in three kids. - ➤ The Augusta GreenJackets are hosting a job fair at the WOW Club near the Rio Cantina at 187 Railroad Ave. in North Augusta on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The team is looking to fill positions for the 2026 season, so applicants 16 and older should bring their resume and dress to impress.
